Allison D. Committed, Regardless

Allison first came to Level Up Fitness in January of 2019 when her old gym closed down and she needed a new gym to call home. Allison was a little reluctant to join a “CrossFit” gym because of a previous poor experience from a few years prior. But once she realized how Level Up was different and that we prioritized technique over speed and stressed consistency over intensity, she was hooked.

While Allison is under the impression she found a great gym; it’s more that a great gym found a great member in Allison. My first interaction with Allison was super easy. She came in, we talked, she signed up, and she never looked back.

But getting to know Allison has been a hilarious journey! To know Allison is to know that she has the thickest Boston accent in Colorado, that she loves dogs (so much so that her and her husband dog sat like 20 dogs at one time), that she is addicted to hiking, backpacking, coffee, and the Patriots AND that she loves to dance in the gym.

Today, May 13th, happens to be Allison’s birthday! Happy Birthday, Allison! At Level Up, we love to celebrate our members every time there’s a birthday with an Affirmation Circle; where everyone goes around and says something positive about said birthday girl/boy. Here’s a recap of some of the things that were said about Allison by her fellow members:

We are supaproud of Allison for staying committed to her fitness, to the gym, and for not letting excuses get in the way. At a time when it could have been easy to quit and put her fitness on pause, she dug deep, pushed through, and showed up week in week out.

We want to highlight Allison for her strength in the storm and for upholding the values of the Level Up tribe of showing up consistently without excuses, trusting and committing to the process, and having the heart and soul to truly enjoy the journey of living a healthy lifestyle.

It’s just what people like us do. It’s energizing and more contagious than any virus.
